Dear guests,
2020 is coming to an end, and we are all looking forward to closing this year, with good hope that the coming will be a lot more pleasant.
Normally we always send by post around December a newsletter with our plans for the coming year to our regular guests. This year we decided not to do that, because a lot of things are still uncertain, especially with regard to the travel advice of the different countries. We saw last year that the change in the colour code of Luxembourg has a major impact on bookings and holiday plans already made. It is therefore not easy to know in advance how everything will be in 2021.
Maybe you are already thinking about your holiday(s) next year, but the step to book has not yet been taken, and you would rather not be left with vouchers again. That is understandable, but on the other hand it would of course also be a shame if you do not get a place or rental item on short term. We have therefore decided that deposits do not have to be made until March 1, 2021, so that you have more freedom. For most of the 2020 vouchers we have already found a solution, either a new date or a refund minus administrative costs or postponing until a suitable date is found.
We have also built in the option for cancellation insurance directly with the online booking on the website. This will immediately show what this insurance costs and you can opt for it when booking. This is not a travel insurance for your personal belongings, but an insurance that covers your accommodation expenses in a whole series of cases, such as illness, some changes in work and home, pregnancy, deaths in the immediate family, and so on, offering a little more confidence when planning your holiday(s). For British guests that use to come to us through the Camping and Caravanning Club : they have decided to end their travel service outside Britain. Of course you can now book directly with us, we’d love to welcome you again in Luxembourg.
Despite the difficult year, we continue to invest in our campsite, you may have already seen it on our website: 2 new chalets of the Loggia type are being added, which we have called Loggia Luci and Loggia Burg, inspired by the old name of Luxembourg “Lucilinburhuc”. These new chalets are for a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children, with a spacious living room with sofa, separate toilet, electrical outlets for USB, a larger refrigerator, and better sound insulation in the bedroom. For this we have taken away 1 chalet, with the name “Summer Dream”, and we hope to be able to rent out the new chalets from the May holidays. We have found a suitable sofa for the other 5-person chalets, so that there also have a small plus in comfort.

As already mentioned, it is not easy to predict what will be possible in the holiday season 2021. We would of course prefer to be able to say that there is a brunch again on Easter and Whit Monday, that the restaurant, the shop and the indoor playground are open every day, that there is no maximum number for the use of the swimming pool, and that you can travel without advance booking. But what we can promise you is that we will do our best to keep all information up-to-date, be it on the website, or via the facebook page. So keep a close eye on these.
